After installing the froyo upgrade, I cannot use a keyboard. I get the message:
'Sorry! The application HTC_IME mod (process jonasl.ime) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.' 'Force close'.

Help! How do I get a keyboard? I can't type anything.

Try rebooting your phone, if this doesn't work you may have to do a factory reset.

    Try "factory reset".

Install the updated version of the hc ime mod keyboard mentioned in the post further down the page.

I've tried rebooting, but no luck.

I'm reluctant to do a factory reset, because I presume I lose everything?

Under Setting/Language and keyboard, I've got HTC_IME mod, and under that in small type HTC_IME mod settings, but no tick box.

Under that is HTC_IME mod, with a tick box that is ticked.

I apologise for my ignorance, but how do I do this? And which post and page?

ETA: I found it, and it has worked. Many thanks.
