It says for Android 1.6 and up. Running perfect on my Epic. Thanks for finding it Daveloft.

Page I got said 2.3 at the time I wrote that post, the same as it had done since it was released. But it says 1.6 now, yes. Guess they must have just updated.

EDIT: And yet it's not showing up on my phone. Bit weird a 2D twin-stick shooter can't run on a Desire, if it's really locked out. I know it's ancient, but still...

Yeah you must have multi touch that functions properly lots of phones that came out with 2.1 or less will have issues

You mean you can steal a hacked version? Is that what you are suggesting? It costs $3.20 in the market.

Oh, good point - I know of the Desire's multi-touch issues by now, I just tend to forget about them... though movable virtual sticks in opposite corners is one way around that, so still not entirely impressed. But that does explain it, cheers. One more reason to kick myself I ever bought the damn thing.

(Tangent: I like Android, I'm just continually amazed more places weren't saying 'Yeah, the Desire's okay, but the GPU's horribly underpowered and the multi-touch is screwed, so if you want to play games, forget it'. Not OMG IT IS STILL ONE OF THE BEST PHONES EVER MADE. Anyway, carry on, I'm just bitter.)

That is the bad part of technology now things get outdated quickly, the 2 year contract and discounted phones model is sadly outdated in the current ecosystem for smartphones. Even the iPhone is updated more regularly than that
