    OMG.!
I've juset tried to put music on my brand spankin' new Nexus, and I think I accidentally ejected the drive from my computer before I unmmounted. Now in the notification bar theres a pic of a sd card. When I click it it says problem withSD card!!!
I tried to turn the phone on and it locks up. WTF

Ok when I try and Open music it says.
An error was encountered on your SD card.
    WHAT DO I DO!
IVE HAD THE PHONE FOR AN HOUR!

EDIT: Just restarted it,,,,,, NOT HELPING! Ima freakin out!
When I restarted it, in the notification bar it says checking for errors. No change from before.!!!!

Calm down. Try backing up everything on your SD card, reformat it, and have another go.

I've disconnected my phone from a USB port without "ejecting" first (though I usually unmount on the phone, which amounts to the same thing); there's no real problem with it.

    Thanks a lot.
I dont have a lot on my SD card. Just the songs I transfered, and perhaps an app or 2 i downloaded.

Do I still need to back up?
How would I go about doing this and formatting it?
    Sorry

EDIT: It's not reading my SD card at all. Can't format it under settings.

Well, if your PC has a microSD card reader or something... say, have you tried inserting your SD card into another phone?

Thanks. So If i inserted the card into my old N95 and formatted it from there, will I lose any important system data?

Some apps put data on your SD card (configurations, etc) so it's best to back those up, but Android system data, nope. It'll be rebuilt when you put the SD card back into your N1.

Edit: Oh, hah, look at that. 666th post!

    Oh you devil ;)

I still have no idea how I'd go about backing it up.
I dont have a form of plugging my micro sd card into my computer, and my nexus doesnt even recognise that i have a card inserted so I can't format it locally/back it up.
