Help Ainol novo7 tornadoes tablet using exterior keyboard

Bought a nice case for my tablet which had a keyboard attached. Problem is the usb cable has large size usb plug for fitting to tablet. I solved this by buying a double female usb and connected the supplied usb to it and then to the tablet. No luck it didn't work. I am now told that the tablet needs to be readjusted to to accept this keyboard. I don't know what make the keyboard is, so is there anyone who can advise me how to make this really smart gadget work on my tablet. Cheers.
