I recently moved from the iPhone to Android (Samsung Galaxy Nexus) and one thing I am missing hard, is there any app to stream all my media(movies, songs) to my mobile device.

With the iPhone I used an app with corresponding software named 'Air Video'

I have several apps that accomplish this. I like Qloud Media the best. I am retired and do not need any media on my phone, so I just stream it from the computer. If I am away from home, I stream with the app AudioGalaxy which can access my computer files from the net without me having a server on my computer. I use Hughes Net and can not set up a server to be accessed from the net over 3/4g, but AudioGalaxy gets in through the backdoor, so to speak.

QLOUD DOES WORK OVER 3g if U are not using a satellite ISP as I do. But U have to install the desktop client on ur computer and set up port forwarding in ur router. This is where things get merky . Ur isp must let u port forward. Give me specifics and I will try to help U. Need to know ur Isp and what router U have.

I looked long and hard for an AirVideo alternative when I joined the Android side in April. I gave up looking and downloaded PLEX and it works really well. But googling the other day I stumbled upon Qloud...its pretty much exactly like AirVideo. The only things I don't care for it that if you have a playlist with a ton of songs it blocks it out in 100 packs. Also, there's no HE-AAC bitrate options for listenign to music like AirVideo has. I used to use 48kbps HE-AAC when plugged into my car's AUX jack and it sounded GREAT! Saved a lot of bandwidth per month vs. listenign to 128kbps streams.
