Alarm effecting volume?

So I've been keeping tabs on this for 5 days. Been happening every day.

I dock my Droid for the night in the multimedia dock. Use sleeptimer to shut off podcast after 45 minutes.

My alarm goes off at 6am at the volume I set it for *LOUD*!

Take phone out of dock, go about my morning routine.....

*problem* Every morning, my volume is off. Even though I've done nothing to change the volume, even though the alarm goes off loud, even though the night before mediafly ran podcast with volume....If I don't toggle the side volume control to get back ANY volume I miss
phone calls, email alerts, anything that has a notification.

Any fix? Anyone else having this issue?


Edit: The volume "losing" its setting happened before I installed Mediafly and Sleeptimer.
