OK, I just recently purchased my Eris and coming from BB, i am confused by a couple of things. First off, I really like this new phone but would like the alerts for texts, missed calls and etc...to have a little variety. It is possible that maybe there is a feature like this that I'm not aware of but would greatly appreciate someones help. I'm typically not one that engages change very well but this phone is very interesting so far. I'm also new to this forum so would to say hey to everyone.

If you do a lot of texting, SMS popup is a must have app for SMS notifications. Way better then using handcent or chomp imo.

I support this. SMS Popup is simple and works in concert with the standard messaging program.

there is a app called missed reminder, does everything you need but everytime i try it it seem to suck the battery down quicker.once its used,it wont shut off. i cant believe you and i are the only ones that want these options.seems most people like the light to flash for notifications.
