all images aren't appearing in stock browser

I'm using the stock browser on my Desire, and I'm starting to notice that not all inches are appearing. Mostly this is when browsing forums and the smilies just appear as blue diamonds with question marks inside. Does anyone know why this might be?

Browser time out?

Is this on wifi, 3g...? If wifi, just one router, or every router? If mobile data, anywhere or only in certain locations?

Different routers, and on 3g.

As an example, I can no longer see lekky's avatar, and right now, can see the 'thanks' icon under my post, but not yours.

Cleared cache, seems to have done the trick. I'm sure I tried that before posting.....obviously I didn't!
