Help all my pics disapeared on my evo 3d, please help. thank u

ahhh man i need a lil help guys!!! i took out my sd card to put in a 32gb sd card. i forgot my pics are on the 8gb, so i put that back in the phone and all my pics are gone?? mounted and unmounted what does that mean? and can i retrive my pics cause it says my 8gb sd card is blank. can it possibly be in the phone memory? can anybody help me please??? thx

did you format the SD card?

have you put the card directly into a card reader on a computer to see if you can see the photos?

did you have any other files on there other then the photos?

does the card show un-formatted or does it give you errors?
