    I'm back for now, lol.
    Here is the New V2 AllyRR.
    This new version fixes a few bugs in the old one, includes all updates or recovery and super user. Its easy to use.

    By the way people this will ROOT and Install Recovery for you on windows.

    I keep on getting a signature error. It doesn't work for me.

    What step is it failing at ?

    Ok reran through it on stock, its failing to flash recovery. Will fix that real quick.

    hmm I get no errors now, but it goes through fine, but im still not rooted. I am unable to remove some apps and unable to get titanium backup working

    idk what you did but it rooted my v8 stock ally.... you should download universal androot and install it off your sd with astro.

    tried this and original allyRR and every time i try to open it i get an error message saying "cannot find 'mscoree.dll'. Please, re-install this application"

    A quick google tells me this is part of the .NET framework. Try installing / updating that.

    EDIT: Oops. The post above me tells you that. Scanning quickly I didn't notice.

    I sincerely apologize for digging this thread up from it's grave, but none of the UnlockSolutions links work. I really want to put custom ROMs on my phone, but they all redirect me to this thread or the v1 thread. Could anyone help me out here?

    Use Trident's guide. Much more recent, and will install Fastboot, recovery, and Stock/Velocity for you, and then you can just upgrade to any 2.2 ROM you want.


    Alternatively, you can use Death2all110's guide


    And be sure to drop into IRC if you ever need real-time help
