I'm not sure you can slow it down, but I am certainly more used to it after using it for a couple days. I'm coming from a hero, do I was used to flicking... Now I scroll. Hope that makes sense.

It shouldn't take you too long to adjust. I like the extra sensitivity personally.

I hope they devise a way to turn the feature off completely.

I know Apple fans love a super sensitive screen. This screen ain't no joke. Just not feeling my Otterbox right now. But I got to protect my phone like my first born child until Seidio gets what I need in stock.

    Yup.

I don't like the app drawer either. I like it when it was fluid and not in sections, if that makes sense.

^^ This I definitely agree with. I'm finding it very hard to adjust to "paging" through apps instead of the fluid continuous movement. :2cents:

To me, it's pure eye candy and doesn't help me get to a particular homescreen any faster.

The concept that it cycles through is GREAT. The free-spinning, not so much.

Same, I haven't had a problem "accidentally" spinning it all the way.

I did notice however you can change directions while you are spinning it. Also, if you tap on one of the screens while it is spinning it will stop on that one, you don't have to wait for it to finish (if you do let it finish it will stop on whatever screen you were on when you initiated it).

i couldn't take it anymore.i went back to launcher pro. that carousel was making me want to throw the phone against the wall. love the lock screen though. launcher pros 3d app drawer moves so smooth on this phone. i didn't like senses new page by page thing in the app drawer. at first i thought there was something wrong with the phone.

Agreed, I don't like the 'pages' in the app drawer either. I think they should have had a way to toggle it on for 'pages' or off so it is 1 flowing page. One work around is to hit the menu key in the app drawer and change it to the list style format instead of the grid. Then you have a flowing list of apps, just not in a grid style.

The best way to avoid the carousel for me has been to swipe from only the right half of the screen. If you swipe all the way across the screen, the carousel I'd much easier to engage. Shortening the swipe and keeping it on the right side has worked for me, in fact I cant swipe fast enough to even get the carousel

The thing about the carousel is...if you flick the page fast enough to start the carousel, it always lands on the page you started on. So, it's seems like a gimmick, more than anything. *takes cover for using the word 'gimmick'*

Thank God HTC didn't make the wheel on The Price is Right. The first person to spin would win every time.

When I first got my 3vo, I liked the short carousel animation we see when unlocking the phone. But after a few weeks of use, I find myself waiting impatiently during that 0.5 seconds it takes to spin before I can use my phone.

I know we're only talking about 0.5 seconds, but I'm wondering if anyone knows how to disable or shorten this animation? I've tried playing with window animation settings under display settings, but that doesn't control it.

I would love to turn this ONE animation off. I always feel like I am waiting on it. However I don't see a way to disable it.

It's one of those things that probably seemed cool when the developer wrote it, but they never had to use the phone on a day-to-day basis for long enough to become annoyed by it :)

It's annoying as hell. You can hit the home button to speed it up though.

You can open into phone or some other preferred app and then tap the back key. Swiping down from phone on left to unlock positions finger right near back key; can almost be done in one motion. (Best I can think of.)

I highly recommend trying GO Launcher EX. It has many screen flipping transition effects to choose from and does not have any carousel. The newest version just came out Tuesday and I've been loving the extensive customization options. I'm pretty sure it consumes less battery than Sense and I have already confirmed that is uses about 1/3 the resources. Also it allows you to add as many home screens as you could ever want. Beware, you will lose most of the HTC widgets but GO has made many of it's own to replace them, and most are free.

Personally, I found the carousel completely useless because it spins so fast you cannot really accurately choose where you want to go. I wonder how much battery was lost every time I unlocked the phone and watched it spin.

I find it easy to flick from page to page, if anything I have to try to get it to continuously spin. An easy problem solver I would think would be to just click home twice so all the pages pop up, then you can just tap the one you want.

Instead of home twice and select, try pinching any homescreen. Pinch and touchdown to select can be a fluid, continuous motion.
