I'm not a huge fan of the SMS app. Loved it on iPhone. Looking for pop us SMS to use as default as well as having "bubble" text with color. I recently used Handcent SMS and SMS (AndroApps.com) with no luck. I still have to open my default SMS in order to delete or modify the text. Looking for an "all in one" SMS. Any ideas??? Thanks

Handcent does what you are wanting it to do. I have been using it for almost a year and it works perfectly. Try reinstalling it. I have actually uninstalled the stock messaging app on my phone and all I use is handcent.

That's what I was thinking, too. But the initial configuration can be a bit overwhelming.

Oh, and be sure to disable all notifications in the stock app! If you're using Titanium Backup, you can even "Freeze" it to completely hide it.

That is exactly what I did, I don't actually delete any system apps incase I find out later that the phone needs them

Trying to get my head round the HTC Desire
Its annoying that while using launcherpro with auto-rotate screen off handcent doesnt auto-rotate its self with it turned on (within handcent settings)

    Or can it? anyone?
