Any recommendations for camera apps that allow one to reduce the resolution / picture size? Not being able to to reduce it on Droid Maxx was a frustration of mine. With Turbo 2, it is even worse. I'm filling up my OneDrive (which reduced sizes) at record rates and I can't e-mail many pics at a time because they are so big. So would appreciate recommendations for a cameria app that allows taking the pictures in smaller size (not reducing later, since I don't have time for that).

Is there a free version to get started with?

I am not aware of one. I am also not aware that there is an explanation anywhere of all the options.

The approach is to spend the $2 ... try it out ... if y9ou don't like it get a refund.

There are a number of apps that let you resize a photo... most are specialized for that purpose while many of the standard photo editors don't seem to have the option which seems odd to me...

The one I've been using lately is by XnView and is called Resize Me available at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xnview.XnResizeLite&hl=en

If you use Google Drive and Google Photo... they give you an option to store an unlimited number of photo's if you allow them to use their compression on them. I use both One Drive and Google Drive with the photos all being synced to the Google Drive an I leave other documents and things for One Drive since the free storage amount is limited.

I've also used XnView, but he was looking for a camera app that allowed lower resolution photos at time of taking the photo.

Another idea, if OneDrive space is an issue, is to use the Flickr app to back up. They give you 1 TB for no cost.

Then take a look at Google Camera ( instead of the Motorola version that comes with it )... Swipe out ( towards the center ) from the left side to bring out the options, select the camera icon ( second from bottom icon on left ) then the settings gear icon found in the lower right of the screen. Resolution & quality is the first set of options you have on the settings screen. The number of possible resolutions is limited compared to something like Resize It, but it does have several to choose from that are of lower quality than the full resolution.

One complaint I have... both the Google and Motorola app is just called Camera in the system tray once installed. You have to rely on recognizing the icons to know which you are selecting.
