I know android flash player is slated release mid 2010, however I assume there's an alternate. if so, I'd love to know about it.

    Welcome to the Forums ,

Unfortunately their is no alternative for now. The HTC Hero has a lite version but that's about it and has not been ported to other handsets easily without the need to ROOT and change ROM's. The best thing to do is wait for the official release which will be with us hopefully soon!

Something I am very much looking forward to :)

I'm waiting, too. Kind of ironic, since the tv commercial states "surf the web at amazing speeds" but they don't mention that half the websites require flash player to function. Even Verizon's own website for ringtones and ringback tones won't function on the droid...fail.

It's super fast because it doesn't load all the flash sites out there ;)

At least the I-Phone doesn't have flash either.
