I hate the fact that when browsing web sites, I'm always directed to the "mobile" (WAP) site if there is one! Just wondeirng if there is a way to keep the Droid X browser from loading mobile (WAP) sites? I don't care to be directed to mobile sites. I know with the HTC Droid Incredible, as well as many other Android smartphones (other than Motorola it seems) there is an option to disable mobile sites and get the actual web site like it would be displayed on a desktop computer.

What do I need to do so this doesn't happen (directed to mobile sites).

    Thanks

I work in an office. It has a window, but it isn't
In a house, near some mountains.
download skyfire from the market. it allows you to choose whether or not you want the mobile site or the regular one.

i like it altogether better than the stock browser anyway. plus, if you still have 2.1, it allows you to play a lot of flash videos to that you would otherwise be unable to see.

IMHO Skyfire really sucks. Try Dolphin Browser HD from the market place.

Okay, lets be clear here- virtually all of the alternative browsers let you choose which site to display. Dolphin, xScope, Skyfire, Opera... They all let you choose.

So lets not necessarily turn this into or favorite browser argument.

I don't know how long it sticks, but type about:debug in the stock browser window. Then you can change UAString to desktop in the settings.
