Always disired a desire

Just bought my HTC Desire. Great handy. Used Nokia for 20 years and NO regret.......but two problems.
1. Why in the world the Desire has no voice to call function???? Can't understand.
2. Set my weather to automatic location and by hand but in both cases the sun is shining at night and the moon is up in daytime? Anybody any idea what I am doing wrong?
