Yeah, we got the HTC version of Gallery instead of the Froyo version. It's one feature of stock Froyo we didn't get.

That sucks.... I was checking my friends Droid out today and he had the new gallery and it was pretty cool... Sucks we didn't get it....

Wow, my morning has been made.

Thank you DarkNeo, for the link, and thanks to whoever got the apk file out.

I am Running Damage 3.5 Final (2.2 Froyo) and it has the HTC gallery as well as the ASOP gallery and it does exactly what the video shows

That link does not seem to work for me, is it still up?

    Yup, just tried it.

Yup, its still up. I can even do it through my phone here. I think that'd be your best bet as well, download and install all at once.

I hate to ask this but do i have to be rooted to install an .apk

nope, your best bet is to download it directly on your phone, then install.

Nope, that's one benefit of having an Android phone, side loading apps. Just download It, then click the file in your download thing on your phone, it'll install it.

Awesome app! Makes you realize how limited the HTC version is. Speaking of which... is there any (non-root) way to remove the HTC Gallery? Or perhaps makes the 3D Gallery the default?

I really like the 3d gallery but the pinch to peek seems useless, you already have to use two fingers to move the pictures around and then a third to select one? I don't get it.

Just an FYI for anyone, I had to remove my old Gallery (not the HTC one, but the plain Android one) to install this one. It wouldn't install over the old for me for some reason.

Mine is just sitting next to the HTC gallery. So now I have two.

I cant get that pinch to peek thing to work though. It loads all of my galleries but when I pinch and drag it just stretches out the gallery a hair but nothing moves.

Does it cause any conflicts? Any bugs (jcthorne above mentioned HDMI compatibility)

I want to install it, but I want to be sure it is all good first.

I've been using that Gallery for a few days now. What I like about it, is that it will also link straight to my Picasa account. The stock HTC app won't link to Picasa. Picasa was my whole reason for installing the 3D Gallery to begin with.

Nice, but it decided to put all my album art on it, which are all in individual folders by artist. Anyway to exclude folders? If it was just showing the music folder it will not be a problem but it is showing about a hundred different folders.

Actually showing each album folder which is even more.

LOL that just happened to me too. I was wondering where that tab came from. It just worked for me though.
