That is some funny shit alright. Now obviouisly the article was a farce, but I didn't know if the topic had any truth behind it at all? Or if it was all 100% made up?
@bigbadwulff: The site has a very similar mission to the Onion. It's a satirical news site, but in a different format. Keep an eye on that site if you like the Onion.
@Outlaw71: Well, as I said, they usually satirize actual news and, after a quick search, this is unfortunately not an exception.
Haha, wow that is a pretty ignorant move by Nokia. I can see Microsoft being estatic about a manufacturer of that size putting WinMo7 on all of their devices. But it's not such a great deal for Nokia.
I wonder if they're having to pay Microsoft anything? Because they could have used Android for free!
what people dont realise that symbain was dead (even with 30% marketshare.. it had double that in 08) and MeeGo is ATM vapourware sadly
I said in another thread, its funny how all the Nokia fanboys now admit Android is a lot better...and are angry over shit support, ah well I told them so, not my problem
Well while every OS out there is far from perfect, Symbian was down right atrocious. It needed to fail just to give OS designers the clear message to 'keep up or drop out'. Losing an old, stagnant relic like that will only help strengthen the rest of the herd.
as fpr this its a good move by Nokia, well not good, but it was the only option
if only in 2009 they had went with Android.. could have been so different
But alas they chickened out
Could be a good move by Nokia as I believe they will be the only company allowed to customise WM7 so will have something unique but still the app Market of the Windows phones. They apparently considered Android but felt they could not compete in the market due to the influx of smaller companies coming out with cheap phones.
I was always very keen on Nokia before the smartphone revolution. Won't be buying another though.
