    That's not a replacement battery. It's a standalone battery that can used to recharge other batteries.

    • Follow instructions for usage. Do not overheat or overexpose the Amzer Solar Charger to direct or indirect sunlight and AC/ USB charge.


    LOL be careful that you dont expose your SOLAR charger to sunlight..... hmmm

    I saw that too and thought 'huh?' - then I saw the 'and'. I THINK what they are trying to say is don't charge it by USB or AC AND have it in the sun. I presume it doesn't like getting juice from more than one source at a time.
    But it's a poorly worded warning to be sure.

    Despite the poorly worded warning, did anyone get one of these? Can it be charged to lose to 100% by solar in the norhthern tier of US states? How many days (weeks?) does it take to get it charged to this level? Or is the only way to top it off thru the USB charging port?

    There are 4 customer reviews on Amazon and the rating is 3 out of 5 stars.

    One says 12 hours of Florida sun did not charge it past 2 out of 4 bars.

    microcenter cells 4xAA mini usb backup packs for 4$, including a retractable mini usb cord. throw some high cap rechargeables in there and you've just saved 60$ and you're good to go for an entire weekend.
