So here is my idea, I don't know if it will work or if there are limitation, please let me know. And I'm not a developer but think this is a really great idea if it isn't there already.

Wouldn't we all be in a better place if we were driving and we received a text or phone call and we shouldn't answer or reply, if we could only select the app (customizable of course) before venturing into the car that would set up an autoreply system.

So you get a text while you are driving, this app would send an autoreply sms text to the sender saying (what ever customized message you wanted).

You are in a long meeting, someone texts you, you can't text them back because your boss is sitting next to you. So before the meeting you set up autoreply through this app saying "I'm in a meeting and I will reply to your text at 4pm."

If there is any developer out there that can do this, please let me know. I would be willing to do it, but I don't understand developing. Please let me know if this is something that can be done, or if it has already been done, please let me know. My email is jaydweight@gmail.com. Thanks!

There is/was an app in the market that did this ... I just dont remember the name ... so some searching of Cyrket - Android Market Browser might help you find it ...

PS : Edit: Found it !!

I use an app called PhonePlus Callback. They've put out lots of updates and the app has a lot of customizable options. The thing I like is that it lets me respond even while the call is ringing. Has Autoreply, do not disturb, custom messages etc.
