An MS Exchange issue no one has been able to resolve

I hope you all have an idea how to solve this one. So, I've been on tier 2 support with Motorola, Verizon, and my IT staff - no one can figure this one out.

My droid 2 is synced with exchange in all matters. but, it only syncs 430 of my 3000 contacts.

I've reset the phone a couple times, checked all the settings on the phone and the exchange server. have no clue how to fix it.

it's really bumming me out.

Thank you all.

I would try two different things and you may have already tried them.

1. Sync your account using a phone that fully supports ActiveSync. i.e. a WinMo phone. ActiveSync has issues on Android in some cases. If this works, then you know the issue is just with Android.

2. Sync your phone using a 3rd party app like RoadSync or Touchdown. This will let you know if it's just an issue with the stock app. I'm assuming you're using the stock app.

Thanks for the response. I am currently fully synced with my iphone. I have been avoiding touchdown, and maybe i'm a purist - because i think that it should sync seamlessly. I'll check it out though. thanks - any other ideas?

for those interested, i think i found a solution. i updated every contact in my outlook profile (changed the category of the contact). now they are all syncing properly. i wonder what caused the issue to begin with...
