Nothing. The base is the same so there should be no Interuption. 2.0.1 is only a miner update. At least thats what I am gathering. 2.1 is a New version so that may require the developers to redesign.

The 2.0.1 update should make no difference to apps written for 2.0. Also, as long as Google doesn't change the base code of 2.0 when they release 2.1, those apps for 2.0 will work on 2.1. The reason 1.6 apps have to be changed for 2.0 is because Google changed a lot of the core code.

I don't understand the comment on better voice reception...the Droid has the best voice quality I've had in a mobile phone. I've gone through four (various other problems) but voice quality has been consistently great.

The 2.01 SDK has been seeded to developers so they can update their apps accordingly.

One of the big changes was creating Android OS and apps to adapt to different screen sizes and resolutions, something the iPhone never had to worry about. But if Android will be on devices of all shapes and sizes, then this move was necessary.

Very little in code changes, minor update for developers. See the changes for yourself:

API Differences between 5 and 6

This is not the Dec 11th update for droid.
