Android 2.0 Just Officially Announced by Google

    It's official, 2.0 is out and soon the SDK will be released to developers!

    Let's hope this gets on the Hero fast! It'll be interesting, with Sense UI. Hopefully HTC has been working with Google on this and our wait is minimal.

    If Sprint were the only company with the Hero, I'd be worried, but internationally it's all over the place, so that's good.

    while this is great news, i'm worried about htc releasing updates for us. They have a reputation of leaving updates out. The thing is, i really need to know whether or not they're going to update before my 30 days is up.

    What happened to all the improved Facebook integration? Was that just proprietary to the Motorola Droid?

    HTC are not in the business of doing carrier specific updates. they will do updates for their unlocked non carrier specific devices, but its up to the end carrier to address any updates and push them out to their customers...
