Android 2 vs 3

I am an Android newbie - as in I don't yet have an Android device. I had a Blackberry for 7 years, have an iPhone, and have had Windows Tablets.

I want a 7" or 9" tablet, but they aren't common. I'm looking to get either a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (Android 3) or Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 (Android 2).

I like the 7" size of the GT-P1000, but I'm worried the v2.33 OS is too out-dated. Am I better off getting a Tab 10.1 with Android 3.2, or can Android 2.33 still do pretty much everything?

2.3 can pretty much do anything, except that it won't get certain tablet only apps, like Adobe apps for Android. Its going to run like an oversized Galaxy S1, which it really is except for the camera, and it wont be upgradeable to Android 4.0 ICS since the hardware would be too weak. You better check this one out, the new 7.0 from Samsung:
