Be happy you own a Galaxy Nexus!

"Android 4.3 ships on the Nexus 7. We are also pushing out updates starting today. To the original Nexus 7. The Nexus 4. The Nexus 10. And Galaxy Nexus." - Hugo Barra at Google breakfast press event (24 July, 2013)

Isn't it usually 6-10 weeks or something like that?

My experience is 3-4 weeks. But we are on the short list and will get it sooner than most people

Based on the 4.2.2 update timeline, I'm hoping VZW users see an update by the end of August....
    4.2.2: JB update
    ------------------------
    4.2.2 was released on February 11, 2012
4.2.2 hits Verizon testers on March 2, 2013 (only 19 days! That has to be a record)
On March 4, 2013 a leaked version was posted online. (I installed it on 3/5)
4.2.2 begins hitting Verizon Galaxy Nexus phones OTA on March 19th, 2013 (36 days - a Verizon record I'm sure!)

I just dug into the details of 4.3 and found that Android 4.3 adds built-in support for Bluetooth AVRCP 1.3!!! Finally, native support for track data via bluetooth!

Looks like 4.3 has been released for the Galaxy Nexus. For those not wanting to wait, Google has posted the "yakju" Factory Image, for those who can't wait for the OTA update. You can find the image here.

Hmm... I think I'll blame that on being tired (had a bad night last night), I should have noticed that.

So it is now the old dilemma; do I install the image and let it erase my user data or do I wait a couple of weeks for the OTA update. To borrow a theme from a TV ad, "It's my update and I want it now!"

There's the sneaky way to install the factory image manually without wiping user data.
    1)Unpack the download.
2)Install the bootloader and radio rebooting bootloader after each flash
3)use the update command to flash the zip
4)flash cwm/twrp back to the phone and boot into it
5)perform the factory reset and cache wipes
    6) reboot.

Great news for those you are not rooted and running custom Rom's. For those of us who are running custom Rom's must of the dev's have jumped ship to other devices and I don't hold out much hope of getting any new updated custom Rom's with 4.3 :(

Like all Google OS updates it's a phased rollout. Some people in UK have already received it and some haven't. It's random chance and can take weeks.

My Nexus 7 received it and my Galaxy Nexus hasn't

Received my update a few days ago here in the UK. Also changed my tariff plan to the 'One Plan' for the same monthly fee. Looks like I will be keeping my Gnex for another 12 months at least. I turned down an upgrade to the S4.

I'm with 3 UK and got the 4.3. update on 27 July.

    Things I've noticed:

    • Overall the phone is quicker to navigate and respond to selections.
    • They've made changes to the layout of the camera settings and added some new options I think. Still lacks a silent mode and grid option though. The camera starts quicker than it used to.
    • Stock gallery cropper screen looks a little different.
    • Disabled apps now have their own category, instead of being moved to the bottom of the All category.
    • They've added Google Keep into the OS in 4.3.
I had one issue after updating, which was I couldn't download or update any apps in the Play store until I removed my Google account and added it again. Other suggested fixes that avoid this didn't work. It meant I had to set up my Google sync settings again.

    • There is silent mode - if you silence your phone before launching the camera. If you try to silence after launching camera, you will end up taking a picture with sound
