I am new to the smart phone world and am limited in my techy knowledge. I recently purchased an Android 4 and was curious as to what my needs are with antivirus protection. What are the recommended apps?

    Hello, welcome to the forums.

This was the first bookmark I ever made here at AF and I think it'll help you out too!

Some of the big AV companies have anti-virus for android, but I think most of them just look for windows viruses (won't do anything on android) - but I do think a few look for *known* malicious apps.

I believe lookout is one of the big ones.

Take a look around the forums, and I'm sure you'll find what you are after! :D

Hello and welcome to AF. :)

I used lookout and am now currently using avast and I would say both are really good choices.

I used both Avast and Mylookout, they are both good, but I decided to go back to Mylookout because I like the deice locator, which Avast does not support just yet
