    All 3 Angry Birds games.
    Pinball Deluxe.
    Kick Off.
    Homerun Battle 3D.

Those are the games I play the most. And there isn't really a "fix" to the ratings, tthey are done by users. So if people don't like the app, but don't rate it, that never reflects in the ratings, and there's nothing they can do about it. Just read through a lot of the reviews if you aren't sure, that usually gives you a decent feeling for it. Look for low-rated reviews and see what they say. Or just install it and try it, it's not THAT hard to uninstall!

I generally read the user comments for more information on why someone liked an app or not. I don't go by the rating alone.

Agreed. The system is good and it works. It's the users that are stupid.

Lots of people like to give low ratings simply because they don't know how to use an app, and they don't bother to read the instructions.

Likewise. I mean, most people only bother to leave rating comments for an app if they really love it or they really hate it, not in between. That's the kind of concrete yet descriptive info I need before download.

Which is why 2 people suggested you read the comments before downloading. Also you can go somewhere with an open wifi network and browse the market there
