    Hi Everyone,

Many of us know what a pain it is having to submit our Android apps to multiple app stores so I will save many of you the time and effort

We recently launched a couple of free apps across a number of Android portals and then done a blog post covering the actual download figures for one of the apps across a number of portals.

Take a read at Android Apps – The Hard Sell? – Comparison of Android App Stores Included | DrMop, actual download figures are included as well as an update to the figures today

Hope this little blog post saves some of you the time we have wasted :)

Would also be useful to see if others are experiencing similar trends

Thanks very much for this! It was a good read.

If you dont mind I would like to put a link to your blog post in our "welcome" sticky at the top of the forum (with your permission of course).

It's weird I had never heard of Appia. Also unfortunate that Amazon was not included. Are you a non-US dev? Still fantastic stuff there. Thank you. :)

No problem, feel free to sticky the link or any other links we put up on the forums.

Appia is an aggregator supplying apps to a lot of the big portals such as Handango. Unfortunately we do not know how those figures are spread across the portals / carrier decks they supply content to.

We have sent the free version to Amazon a number of times but it is constantly being knocked back for one reason or another. Its odd because our paid version is on there fine, although it has only sold 3 units (grrrr). Our game BattleBallz Chaos has sold 11 units, so its pretty bad. We have contacted Amazon on numerous occasions to ask them to promote our apps but no response. They are however quick enough to give us a bollocking when we price our app cheaper elsewhere! We are toying with the idea of turning the paid version free on Amazon to see what happens.

Our game is out across iPhone, iPad, Android, Samsung Bada, Windows Phone 7 and Blackberry Playbook, so we are thinking of doing a new blog comparing all platforms / all stores for paid apps in the near future. The results would surprise and in fact probably shock many developers.

It is worth noting that developers should be looking at Bada and Blackberry if they want to earn money without selling their souls
