This may be a foolish question but I am asking it anyways. I just bought an ASUS transformer and I want to put games on it for my kids to play. I know there are loads of free ones but they keep asking me if I have a phone or wanting to link to a phone account.

I am only interested in free games and do not have a phone account tied to my tablet. I am using wifi.

Can anyone tell me if I am doing anything wrong. I am not a teckkie person so please do not be insulting and say things in simple non-teckkie terms :O)

    Thanks.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab wifi only and I use Android Market via wifi.

Android Market has thousands of free apps including games. Just click the "Market" app in the device app drawer and sign the agreement (click the "accept" button ;)) and you're on your way. :)

You need a gmail account to download apps from the Android Market. I assume Asus thinks you have an Android phone which would mean you already have a gmail account and several apps purchased and downloaded on your phone. If you input your gmail account, the tablet would then show all your purchased apps in the My Apps section of the Android Market. You can then decide whether to download and install them on the tablet. I hope this makes sense.

Thank you so much. I was wondering what the 'market' thing was about. I have no clue about this stuff....yet :O)

You're going to have a lot of what I call "discovery fun." :)

Android Market is vast.. there are categories, but also a search feature. Some apps are paid and many are free.
