Android apps???

    Hi everyone I have a problem and I cant figure it out Im hoping one of you folks can help!! I bought a cell phone called Ciphone A3 from china and I LOVE the phone it is supposed to be running android 2.2 but I CANNOT get it to accept android apps?????the foolks I bough t it from said I was just not doing something right but then a gain another company said the CIphone A3 doesnt accept android apps!!! is that even possible?? how can a android system not accept its own apps???and if there is soemthing I can do to fix it I would REALLY appreciate it...because right now It is useless to me....I need apps........so that it I hope someone can help...My name is Kevin

    A couple of quick questions ... when you say it won't accept apps, are you trying to install them from the market? Do you have the market app on the phone? What is the exact error you are seeing?

    I took it as that the OP got the phone from China but wasn't there now. Could be wrong ... it's been known to happen.

    Anyway, I have a Chinese-made tablet (CrystalView) that didn't have the official market on it out of the box, so installing certain apps was problematic, but it was function of getting them, not installing them.

    Fair do's, I've often been known to put 2 and 2 together to get 5. :p

    Kevin, try downloading the apk's to your SD card then install ... I have an A3 CiPhone too, love the look on peoples faces when they realize it's not an iPhone4 :)
    I rooted mine with Z4Root and back up with Titanium ... the free version cos I'm tight !

    Yeah, or pull your SD Card out and back in.
    Remember to unmount it first*
