i am planning to buy an Android phone in a few days

Which one should i go for

1. LG Optimus One
2. Samsung Galaxy 3
3. Samsung Galaxy fit
4. Samsung Galaxy pop/mini
5. HTC WILDFIRE

Range is around 11 k
First time android user !!

All those are week phones with a crappy low screen resolution.
Perhaps, a better choice is to get Wildfire S in the low segment.

Optimus One .Samsung is pathetic in India.HTC wildfire is too dated .

Yeah .Though I would like to see week phones like disposable contact lenses. A dollar a week.Disposed off even before rooting.

As always with these threads, what are your needs/wants? If you want blind promotion of devices you can refer to the existing threads. Otherwise, give us your criteria and then we can offer some relevant recommendations.

From that list I would be looking at the Optimus One.

Also, as has already been said, if the Wildfire S is available an in budget...go for that.

In all honesty the android phones share a lot of similarities, and I use/used so many my preferences came from simple things like battery life, trackpads, physical keys and keyboards.

Changing my opinion .Checked the latest prices. Go for Dell XCD 35 aka ZTE Blade.Official ClockworkMod Recovery and CyanogenMod support.What else you want ?
Samsung phones have nice hardware,nicer screens.
They also have crap support,bad file system,no custom mods,no developers,take eternity to give a update.After a year they will also declare ,'we cant support these phones anymore ,(buy our new shiny ones)'.
LG and HTC have solid (atleast decent) software support.

Optimus One good choice as well
