Is there a way of implementing an android app for fingerprint recognition?
You would do better asking in our Application Development forum.
However, the answer will depend on which version of Android you are targeting. I believe that 6.0 has a native API for fingerprint recognition, so it should be quite straightforward for Marshmallow. It will be a lot more work for earlier versions.
Thank you much for the reply.. but I'm new to android development therefore I've no idea how to start it. I thought to do image processing for fingerprint recognition because fingerprint scanning is only available in new versions of smart phones. If u can give some ideas on this it would be a great help thanks again
You mean you want to use the camera for fingerprint recognition? It's really not my field. I could speculate, in very general terms, about approaches I might take if I were to do it, but since this isn't my field the chances are I'd miss something important, or possibly point you down completely the wrong track. I am sure that doing this all from scratch would be a lot of work though.
For any application development questions the best place to ask is here: http://androidforums.com/forums/application-development.28/
