Android Google To Do Alerts

Hi,

How do I stop Google "To Do Alerts" coming through to my handset?

they are linked to my Google email account, I have erased the phone once and gone back to a new phone, but as soon as I log into Google Play Store they start again. Its driving me nuts as they wake me up each morning Grrrrr!

any ideas??
