    hi there,

    just looking into different gps systems ?

    would anyone trust their Android marine navigation apps to sail them around the UK

    i am quite interested, please any comments welcome

    Welcome to the forums - thanks for joining!!

    I guess it depends very much on which app you want to use and also which phone you have... I know that some phones have GPS issues, which you wouldn't want if you were out at sea! I don't know how comforatble I'd feel having my phone as my GPS (or at least not as my only GPS) when on a boat.

    What device do you have?

    Irrespective of what app you decide to use, its always recommended that you've backup navigation systems on your boat (incl. paper charts).

    That said, you could get the following up for Android covering UK/Ireland waters.
