Support Android Market - download stalling?? help.

    My desire is not downloading market apps - it stalls at "starting download"
    any idea???

    Have you altered any system features... i'm not familiar with the desire, but.. did you try REBOOTING, then go to market.

    You might be out of storage space on your phone, it stalled at same point for me not long back, I cleared some room and apps started downloading fine again so its always worth checking that first

    Had this problem before, not too sure what it was, but I closed the market and opened it again and it started downloading.

    Make sure the Talk app is open and you are signed in. You can't download apps if this is not the case.

    On my Hero I used to encounter this problem. It turned out that it didn't like using my WiFi on strange isolated occasions that no-one could explain. Trick then was to simply turn of wifi, let it get going again (on 3G) and then turn on wifi again. Never suffered that problem on the Desire though, but just in case.

    I've tried all the above on my Samsung Galaxy S - still have the problem. Any other tips?

    Settings>Applications>manage Applications>Market and clear data / cache. Try that.

    i've had this problem over the past couple of days. I put it down to the marketplace getting hammered. I just stop the download and then try it again and all works fine.
