Android Market not working!!

    I have just bought an samsung galaxy portal i5700 and the android market is not working, if i try to download a app it just keeps saying ''starting download''.. i have tried buying one getting one for free i have tried using wi-fi also my internet off my sim.. tried clearing the data and reseting phone.. nothing working soo annoying.... someone please help! thanks.

    Hi Jenster2010, welcome to the Android Forums. Hopefully i can help out with your problem, it does seem very odd. First of all are you in the US? Because your location could give you problems with the Android Market. When you say you have tried clearing data and resetting the phone does that mean you did a factory reset? Because a factory reset is the best thing i can suggest.

    hi no i'm from the uk! yeah i done a factory reset, but nothing seems to be working for it.

    Hmm well after searching around a bit it looks like this has been a problem for some people for quite sometime.

    Download issues: stalled at "Starting download" - Android Market Help

    Also you may want to try and clear your cache for the market and see if that helps at all. If that doesn't work i would suggest going to the Samsung Galaxy Portal sub forums since other users with your same device may have had that issue.
