Android market

Is anyone else having problems downloading from the android market.I am trying to download some new apps and update some older ones but all I get is "starting download" never gets any further.This happens if i use either the wifi or the mobile signal.

haven't had any trouble. have you tried installing any other way?

apart from on your phone via wifi or mobile signal what are the other ways please?

just found the solution its because I changed googlemail to gmail just been on googlemail and changed it back now my apps can be downloaded

im a newbie too so im not sure but i searched some of the other forums and found out the googlemail thing solved it.Im sure one of the learned ones on here could explain it perhaps
