I guess my question is, what were A and B?
    A?
    B?
    Cupcake
    Donut
    Eclair
    FROzenYOgurt
    Gingerbread
    H?

If there's not a definite answer that's cool too. I was just kinda curious.

There was no nickname. The T-Mobile G1 was launched with Android version 1.1 which definitely had a long way to go. I still remember the anticipation of Cupcake. Finally there was an on screen keyboard! Anyway, Cupcake was the first to be named after deserts. You have the rest of the list already. :)

I read somewhere that it was Applesauce and Biscotti for A and B, but that article was wasn't officially sourced as per coming from Google itself. Either way, I did a spreadsheet (no surprise there, for those that know me) of the Google OS's since its creation.

I also added my take on future OS names (I was right about Gingerbread and Ice Cream but was wrong on Honeycomb (who the hell eats honeycomb for a desert).

Anyway the spreadsheet is here. I'll be interested to see what others come up with for future names.

Astro and Bender is what I read, but they weren't used due to copyrights. I think...
