"Android OS" sucking up all my battery?!?!

I rarely see the category "Android OS" under battery usage, if I do it is at around 3% at the most (usually). The other day I noticed that after 2 hours my battery was half drained (normally lasts me the day) without me using the phone at all.

I checked battery usage and "Android OS" was at the top with 80%. I have NEVER seen anything get up at the top other than "Display" and "Voice Calls".

This went away after a reboot then showed up a couple days later. My battery was less than 50% after 2 hours.

This is happening again today, and I rebooted yet it seems as though it is charging very slowly.


Any one have this happen to them, or know what it is, or how to fix it?

The phone charges slowly if you plug it into your computer. It adjusts the way it receives the charge yadda yadda yadda

You could potentially install an app that kicks off an Activity that causes the Android OS work much harder. Take a look at what processes are running on your phone. Is there anything that shouldn't be there?
