I just bought a chinese tablet/PC and was wondering about ODS software upgrades. The tablet has Android 2.2 on it now but when i search for upgrades, all of the suggestion refer to phones by specific manufacturers and none match what i have. Is there a benefit from upgrading and if so, how can i get an upgrade. Would I have to download an upgrade to my PC then transfer it to tablet via USB or Tf card?
Usually with chinese talbets you will need to find out the processor chip type and see what has been done by the rooting community on it. You would have to root the tab and flash an update rom to update the OS unless the OEM has an updated version out there. The rom would likely need to be specific for the type of tab you have.
