I have a MetroPCS LG Esteem (not rooted) and I installed PDANET on it. Then I tried to install PDANET on my PC with Windows 7 64 bits.
At the end of the install, I get this error message: "Android phone not detected(Error=103)".
Can you help ?
Or should I use a tethering application other than PDANET ?

I tried pdanet and it never worked for me. Unless I did something wrong but I did see that the phone was read after I installed clockworkmod USB tether(Both on PC and Phone) and put the phone on internet connection mode. Try that and if it doesn't work I would recommend using clockworkmod USB tether. Works good on my end without errors and you don't need root.

Clockworkmod tether

I'm not sure about the esteem but on the connect I get that mesaage when i forget to put my phone into internet connection. When you connect your phone to pc via usb cable and pull down your notification bar and select internet connection.

Pdanet is my choice I've tried them all. You will want to stay away from any wireless tethers as those can be detected by metro and you will be notified.
