I've seen quite a few people with this problem lately, and I just wanted to say that I've had my current Gmail account for quite a while now, with no issues at all. HOWEVER, I recently upgrade to a Droid 2 four days ago, and the same day, I had a "suspicious activity" alert in my Gmail account. I am in Oregon, and Gmail reported that someone accessed my account from the IP address 69.10.177.138. I looked this up online, and it looks to be located in San Francisco, California. I immediately changed my password, and signed out any other sessions that might be accessing my Gmail account. However, I'm still a bit worried about using my Gmail account on my Droid phone now because of this. The reason is, a while ago I had a Droid Eris, and the Gmail account that I used for that one got hacked to as well, except for they changed my password so I actually had to recover my account. So, the odds of this happening twice each time I set up a new Droid phone concerns me. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue, or is Google aware of it? And also, I guess, "why" is it happening? I only use my Gmail account on my Mac through my Mail program, and I have anti-virus scanners, and I don't have the same password for any websites either. So, I'm pretty paranoid about not giving out my password. LOL.
Any ideas?
For now, I am just going to factory reset my Droid 2 and put a different Gmail account on it (one I've created just for the Droid 2 itself).
