I keep putting off the OS Pie update on my Samsung S9 for the past 1.5 weeks.... as it's in beta format..

Any pros? Cons? Easier/better to navigate?

    Would appreciate input/feedback...

    Thanks so much!

I thought that Samsung had officially rolled out Pie for the S9 a couple of weeks ago, and is no longer beta. Locked carrier variant devices might take longer though, if you've got one of them.

Above user is correct.. no longer in Beta it was rolled out earlier this week. I did the update right away (I always do) but this is the first time I wish I hadn't. There are significant issues I've noticed mainly with auto brightness & sound.
Auto Brightness - It just flat out doesn't seem to work properly. Screen will be fine and then will suddenly just go very dark, even if no lighting in the room has changed.
Sound - This is the worst part of the update by far. Certain apps/games, the sound is unusable. Even at the lowest setting, the speakers are just SCREAMING loud. Then they will go quiet.. then SCREAMING loud again. It's crazy and beyond frustrating. At the moment you can no longer just quietly enjoy an app/game on your couch at a low volume setting, without the entire room hearing your phone.

If anybody has seen/heard (no pun intended) of resolutions to these, please post! Thanks!

I was afraid of that part... I prefer to keep things low key when it comes to brightness and audio.

Maybe I should wait until they put in a patch before I update??

This update is so bad in my opinion:
    1. battery problems
    2. brightness problems
    3. wifi turns on and off automatically and there is no option to disable it. i searched everywhere
    4. sound problems
