Android - Text Received Time is Wrong

Hey
New Android owner here, no problems for me in general except that whenever I receive texts, the time stamp on it is 4hrs earlier than what it is supposed to be.

So say I received a text at 10pm it would display at 6pm, wouldn't be a huge issue other than that my friend's texts keep piling up at 6pm-6:XXpm when my texts pile up at 10pm-10:XXpm.

This makes it very uncomfortable to text since whenever I have to check what was said i would have to scroll up to his texts and scroll down to the bottom to reply. Help plz ^^~*

Try going into the message settings and checking the setting for it to display the full timestamp, that fixed it for me.

However I see no such option under message settings. All the options I see are regarding whether to receive notifications, sounds etc

Oh I probably have that setting because of the ROM I am running... sorry i dont know what else to tell you >< Have you tried to reboot or anything?

Phone and network? It does that when my coworker with a bb on at&t msgs me.

I got hit by the same problem after switching from Telus to Rogers on the same device. It's apparently a network specific issue with some devices. This app fixed it for me: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mattprecious.smsfix
