If Revue can play Flash 10.3 videos (youtube etc), has access to the android market and has expandable memory (SD card), then yes.

If not, then I still prefer my android TV box: rooted, customizable, full web browsing allowed, and able to install market apps.

It may depend on what you want.

Has anyone been able to get iPlayer or ITV player to work on this box ? I have seen just one video of a test and the box could not play iPlayer correctly, the picture was very jerky. This could have been down to the internet connection but Flash player decodes using software and is very power hungry.

Thanks a lot! It works! Process.android.acore stopped pop-up dosn't appear any more.

    Other two questions:
    1) was anyone able to connect FV-1 with pc using with adb usb cable or wi-fi?
    2) did anyone connect 3g usb dongle to FV-1? I did it with tablet ZT-180 froyo, but FV-1 doesn't have mobile network configuration option.

    Thanks,
    Vitt.

I've posted this before, these video show a demo of the unit, example media playback of avi, mkv, using webstreaming like BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD. I can confirm the slow jerky performance is the android tv box not being able to cope. This was connected to a VM 10mb cable connection tested from a PC and PS3 before and after, both streamed flash with no issues at all.

Thank you for link to dealextreme, I'm regular customer there but never seen this android box there (not big surprise because they have to many items)

Price 151,50 USD is for 4 GB model and they also have 2 GB model which is only 2 USD cheaper. So it could be really 4 GB model, 'cause I've been seen on masada's site that they have this model available.

anyon got a joydev.ko module working? i tried several precompiled ones but the refuse to work with the installed kernel.
i would love to use a gamepad on this device for emulation.
Are the kernel sources available for the unit?
or is there a way to contact meseda to add this module in a next update?

Many thanks for posting the videos.

Yes yours are the ones I have seen, on YouTube. So if PS3 can cope then connection is obviously not a problem. I have a Wii and Freesat box on 6Mb and they work fine too.
Oh well will just have to wait and see what comes along, it is only a matter of time I think, new boxes coming out all the time.

In the product specs it says WIFI b/g, was anybody able to achieve a better throughput than 65Mbps, is it even enough for HD video-straming? does it support usb wireless-n dongle? I'm looking to get the best wireless network connection solution for this device, please...

Can anybody tell me how I can install flash 10.3? Every time I try it through the android market, I get a message that the device is not signed? Would the upgrade of the firmware help? Any idea..?

Thank you for your help. I haven't upgraded the firmware yet. I just got the device yesterday. Which firmware should I install in order to install flash 10.3? Can you give me a link?

The box doesn't have the processing power for SD streaming let alone HD, even if the wifi has enough bandwidth. See the video links I posted, anything over SD is very jerky even from a very fast local HDD, a wired ethernet port...let alone wifi.

Thats not true, atleast if you use the right software. The box sure has enough processing power, its the right software thats lacking out of the box.

Wlan definatly is slow, and not really useable for streaming SD Media, it works but playback stops for a short time every now and then.

But Wired is enough to stream all kind of media, even HD. If you are using the right software. For example i can stream 720p MKVs just fine from a samba share, access it via FS File Explorer and then play it with Dice Player.
All other other media files i had on my PC worked fine with vplayer/moboplayer.

But i have to remind everyone that HD is not really useful on this unit, as it only puts out (internal) in 1024x600.

PS: on my box i use wlan for connecting to the internet, and i have connected my PC with the box directly through a crossover cable (with fixed ip). With this setup i can still use the box for surfing without my Pc powered on, but can access it right away in a fast way when its powered on ;)

I Need Help rooting my FV-1 as the bloat ware which got installed when i upgraded now is getting on my nerves, i followed the instruction provided by contributors who successfully rooted their device , i downloaded launcher pro plus and as well as z4root 1.3

    1. after installed both lanucher pro plus and z4root i restated the unit cold boot

    2. here is the screen shot of the home screen on launcher pro plus

    3. i launched z4root and clicked permanent root

    4. it asked me to enable usb debugging i pressed ok to that

    5. it took me to the application menu but no development menu there

now i also tried to reboot and go directly to setting then application still no good apparently i was under the impression that launcher pro is suppose to unhide the menus or perhaps i am doing some thing wrong H E L P
