I suppose if I have to ask this then I should not be thinking of updating my Galaxy Tab in this way. However, could we have some more detailed instructions please?

For example - with or without a Bootloader. Will it boot up without a Bootloader?

What does PDA mean in this context?

Sorry if these are dumb questions

I think these instructions have been floating around the 'net for a while. It's basically instructions for flashing a ROM unless I'm mistaken.

I had a look at the Odin utility and I think I can see most of the procedure.

The only (possible) problem is that the instructions refer to P1000XXJPZ users, whilst my device seems to be a P1000XXJID.

I assume this means mine is not as up to date as the one referred to in the instructions. Is that significant please? Doesn't the upgrade overwrite whatever is there and replace it with the upgraded files anyway?

Is there any way back from this process if I go wrong or don't like the result?

My device is rooted and backed up with Titanium Backup.

I assume that will not reverse this process?

Sorry if this is obvious to most people - best to ask before I try the upgrade
