Android virgin says hello

Just a hey to all.
First Android phone, and figured I would come to the source for all things Android. I am a WM kind of guy but WM 7 looked like total s%#t.
And besides, I have to be a good lab rat and punch the Android or iPhone feeder bar if I want ANY kind of apps. Bitter? Just a bit. Oh well.
I will learn again from all the best.

Unfortunately I fear Mr. Ballmer's crew at M$ may have made a tactical error with their implementation of WP7. I also was a WinMo users for years and I find the user interface in WP7 to be much less inspiring than I had hoped for.
