Verizon sent me a replacement phone and to my dismay, my progress hasn't been carried over. I copied over the folder on the SD card that had angry birds on it. But I guess that didn't contain my progress. Help! I've spent a crap load of time on this and don't want to start over.

The only safe way I know of to backup your savegames is with a rooted phone and Titanium backup, that's how I backup my savegames and it never failed me.

Interesting...I used Astro to search my phone and it couldn't find anything with "angry", "birds" or "rovio" in it. Heck, I couldn't find any app data. Where the heck is that stuff installed at??? I don't want to loose all that progress.

There is no way around it. You have to start from the beginning.

Didn't froyo have a new feature where the user could save stuff like this to the cloud?

    Hey there ned4spd8874 dude!

Hmm i think it is a file under that of sd crad (if u installed on sd card or phone memory depends on what you did)

copy "/data/data/com.rovio.angrybirds" to your new android phone... but i think it depends on if sd card or phone memory :)

    Keep well!

I dunno know if it will work though :) but worth a try lol

    I have a similar problem.

I had to Ti restore, and while I have all my progress, the current theme 2 before, now 3 shows up under 1 while the other 2 show up locked on the select screen.

Anybody know how to return it to normal?

I tried beating the 2nd theme, but then I ended up on the 3rd theme, but still that shows up under 1.

I even uninstalled, beat the 1st theme and still have the problem.

...because starting over was not an option...

Here is the method I used to successfully accomplish this task.

First off, you will need angry birds, angry birds
back up,(found on market ) es file
explorer, access to wifi network (given one of your phones does not have service or is not activated) & dropbox on both phones.
Back up your progress on old phone by hitting backup on the app,
    this will produce setting.bak and
score.bak in the angry birds backup folder on sd card. Long press on both and
    share to dropbox.
Open angry birds on your new device, beat
one level, or more ,and then back up the progress
on your new device, this will produce
setting and score.bak on new device,
Open es on new and delete setting
and score.bak. Use dropbox on your new phone
to download setting and score.bak, I
    could not find where they
downloaded to, so i searched for
setting.bak in es , I was able to find it like this, copy it and
paste it back were it goes, in the angry
birds backup folder, do the same
with score.bak. Open the ab backup app on your
    new device and press "RESTORE".
Even the golden eggs you have will be there.

... and I approve this message!!!..

How big was your backup file? The backup and restore failed completely on the Atrix and I'm wondering if I've lost my progress.
