2.1 will hopefully include this but seeing how it was cut on the droid and sprint is "talking with samsung for options" that could be one of the "options" they decide not to put in there...

also does anyone know how to MAKE these live wallpapers, i have some pretty cool screensavers i use i'd like to throw out there for wallpapers to the public, some i attempted to make myself lol

Animated wallpaper just seems like something else that will bog the Moment down.

I tried animated homescreens on an AT&T Tilt onto which I had installed a hacked up 2.x. It worked fine. Therefore it would be a bit of a surprise for Samsung to cut that considering their hardware is better than the Tilts.

everything i've read about animated/live wallpapers have said that they're yet another way to drain your battery. battery life on any android phone (especially the moment) is bad enough. I personally wouldn't put another strain on it.

this is true but glamer is nice... and it is an OPTION, it's not really forced on anyone. i don't want a black background with just white words on the screen and nothing else.... that would save A TON of batter life, but if you're going to have a powerful phone, it should act like a powerful phone and do crazy cool things worth showing off. games in the app market, hell all apps run battery life down like crazy, doesn't mean that the market was a bad idea...

If it runs smooth on a Tilt, I'd assume it'd be fine on here.

Thanks everyone all of your post were very helpful:). I also think that the phone should be powerful enough for that software and you should be able to show it off.

Try IamascopeLE in the market it's pretty neat and has a basic homescreen.
