i started getting an annoying popup asking me to update my software on my zte. Im currently running the latest version of moonshine. only 2 of my phones are getting it. I tried following the instructions below regarding replacing "build.prop", but the version of build.prop I have was already the same as the one brittnearl had posted.

"I backed up my original build.prop, and changed the following props to match the one in the fix.zip:

    ro.build.display.date
    ro.build.version.incremental
    ro.build.date
    ro.build.date.utc
    ro.build.description
    ro.build.fingerprint
    ro.build.sw_internal_version

The phone did say that I needed an update on reboot (it appeared to just give a background notification and not a popup). I selected the notification for "..more info" and the update tool said "up to date". I didn't get any more popups or updates after that.

I did a root check and fired up tethering as a quick test and both were fine.

    Many thanks to brittnearl. "

    any ideas?

I am not getting the update notification on my phone. Could one of you that are getting the update upload the file so are devs can look at it. You don't have to install it. Just make sure it downloads to your phone. I don't recall the exact directory it downloads to but it will probably be named something similar to the old update named 4f81a68dd26922d0ae7b335277b9040013c63ee8.N800_B05_to_B06GOTA.zip.
It will probably say B06_to_B07GOTA. You will need root and a root file manager like es file explorer to find the file in the internal storage. TIA!

Maybe try changing all the B06 references to B07.

If you have already taken the update could you post your build.prop for us to look at?

Can the Update be flashed on Kitkat Roms? I don't have to revert to stock, do I?

I took the B07 update on an extra rooted ZTE Awe I had. Although I was able to re-acquire root after the B06 update using Rootmaster ver. 1.3.6, the B07 update destroyed root and Rootmaster no longer works.

Below is the B07 build, prop file. I haven't tried editing it yet the way we did for the B06 update since I'm still waiting to see if and when the update nag screens return after deleting the non-installed B07 update from my cache:

Wish I knew why. I even did a factory reset, tried rootmaster again and still no joy. You use ver 1.3.6?
